I think FuelMoto hit a "home run" with their 2-1-2 headpipe and orders most likely surpassed projections. That happens when quality shines through. I have installed one on a build I did earlier this year for mariner227 and it was by far some of the best workmanship I have seen. So much so that I too now have one on order for my new Limited. Worth the wait in my opinion.
I'm starting to think I'm gonna offer full price for a used one. LOL
I'm waiting for one as well...Been 2 weeks now. Thinking about giving Jamie a call regarding the 2-1-2 waiting list status sometime tomorrow afternoon. Can't wait to see what kind of engine/sound performance it'll deliver.
Why is the Fuel Moto 2-1-2 better than the Vance and Hines power duals?
It's not that it's better per say, but the right side does "flow more". When the Power Duals are combined with the CFRs there is a "scavenging" issue on the right side. For whatever reason, I get a big dip @ 3500 rpm and can't be tuned out.
My tuner has tuned set-ups with the Power Duals 100's of times with no issues (never paired with the CFRs). He also has tuned set-ups with CFR slip-ons with no issues. He has no complaints with either...just when used together. I was told to either use the Jackpot or true duals. My tuner talked with Jamie and they both agreed that the Jackpot 2-1-2 will work good (at least we all hope).
I'm no expert and I'm not sure if I explained everything correctly, but it is the just of it.
I handed a set to my service supervisior for install during some upgrades and he was gushing praise about the quality of the welds. We both commented it was too bad we had to cover them with the heat shields.
Thanks, I have a 2010 Limited and have been trying to decide what to put on to get rid of the catalytic converter and the heat. I had true duals on my Road King with no exessive heat or power loss issues but I think I will try the jackpot 2-1-2 and the jackpot exhaust.
I see a thread today about the best 2into 1 one exhausts. I don't see Fuel-moto even mentioned. I've been waiting for a couple of months now for their new 2 into 1 headpipe with no cat.Every time i call they say 4 to six weeks last time they said end of march. Now they are saying three weeks into april. I'm getting sick of this and the only reason that i'm waiting for theirs is the 12mm bugs for the autotune sensors. Is there any other company that has a pipe that will accept thauto tune wide bands? i have no idea why they are even mentioning this pipe if they don' even have it available. Very irritating at the least
