ive noticed a crack in my 07 eg standard windshield. it run parallel to the frame it sits in right in the area of a screw. i thought plexy glass was stronger then this. ill save it for my dealor when i go back in october to get my tour pakage put on. any one else have this problem?
hit 1000milea yesterday. i can wait till thr fair in charleston. thats when cool weather gets here!

I would at least call and let them know that you found the crack in the windshield.
I'm pretty sure the windshield is made from Lexan which is a much higher quality than Plexiglas. I don't know all of the properties of Lexan but handles the Sun UV's better and it's used in aircraft windshields.

I would take the bike back to show/fix,dont wait.
FYI.
Lexan is polycarbonate resin thermoplastic intended to replace glass,more durable than Plexiglass.Also used for bullet proof glass.
Plexiglass/Lucite/Perspex is an Acrylic.
