WOW! I'd say you are running correct pressure on those OEM Dunlops, but down to the nubs with 5K of running? You ought to get at least 10K miles on the rear and 20K on the front.
Are the roads super-abrasive where you ride with lots of curves? Something is amiss here.

I do most of my riding two up. There are 40 miles of twisties to ge to a straight road any direction I want to ride. I got 7 K on the origional rear and 15 K on the front.

Dunpop 402 is a great tire. It is also the only one with the load range rating heavy enough for HD approval.

If there are no indicators your riding conditions are causing premature wear, have the dealer investigate. May be and alignment problem.

Let us know what your find.

Could be that he is one of them that acceralates fast and waits to the last minute to start stopping.

wireman2511,
I got 8,600 miles mostly solo riding out of my factory Dunlop 402 running 38 psi front, and 40 psi rear, the rear was pretty shot at 8,600. I just replaced mine in July with the same Dunlop 402. I understand this is the average milage you can expect out of the Dunlops.

11,000 on rear front still goood
solo 70 percent no burnouts on my UC
should have gotten more mileage depending on style of riding

Interesting. Does this mean the only tire offered by anyone with a heavy enough load rating or the only Dunlop Tire offered?
