Default V&H Slips Ons with Reinhart True Duals - Can you do that?

I'm trying to see if I can prevent from throwing a few hundred dollars away. When I bought my 09 RG new, I put the basic V&H slip ons just to have some different sound. Now I'm adding TD's, and having an engine built, so wondering instead of buying Reinhart mufflers as well as the true duals, can I get away and have it sound good, by getting the Reinhart TDs and leaving the V&H slip ons. Seems like from reading, others have mixed sets like this and been happy, but haven't found anyone with this exact combo.

Any feedback is appreciated.

I think the rinehart head pipes are a different diameter than the rest and only work with their TD mufflers. Why not get the V&H dresser dual setup?

Correct...the Rineharts are a larger diameter than the VH

I agree with RoadHawg. The Rinehart TD headpipes will significantly limit your options to mufflers with 2 inch inlets at the headpipe. Rinehart and Rush are the only two that I know of that make mufflers for the 2 inch inlet. The V & H DD's will open up options for you, including the regular 1 3/4 inch Rinehart slip-on's that are commonly installed on stock headers.

Unless you are bound and determined to have TD's, you also might want to consider the Fuel Moto 2-1-2.

I have v&h power duals and rinehart slip ons. Everyone is right about rinehart td they are different size it will limit you to rinehart mufflers.

I think I have made up my mind on TD, mainly for the looks of dual pipes, not sure I like the single pipe, because i was going to get the 2 into 1 for a couple xtra HP/TQ (I have the dyno sheets from Bubs on both), and for only a couple extra with similar power band curves, I think i am going to stick with TDs.
