Just pray you don't get hit with the the chrome doodab bug too!
After so many sport bikes and laughing at Harley this and Harley that, too slow, too heavy, etc, etc ... I've become the biggest Harley fan I know!
Not only is my 09 RK just beautiful, I now like it slow cause I ride a hell of a lot safer not blasting through blind deer infested curves like my sport bike pals.
I have never enjoyed or grown attached to a bike like this before.
I'm not such a fanatic on cleaning the bike, but I still admit to being obsessed with it. Like you, sometimes I just go out to the garage to look at it for a few minutes. I've owned a ton of bikes in my life, and I traded in a Gold Wing for my Road Glide. But I've never before had a bike that I felt such a complete attachment to. Love to look at it, but especially love to ride it!
My wife complains about it all the time, says if I spent that much time on the house it would be in Better Homes and Gardens. It could be worse, I could have a hobby like Tiger Woods.
You didn't expect anyone on this forum to disagree, did you? Enjoy the thrill and don't forget. Riding it is the primary reason for owning it and the best way to enjoy it. You can always clean it when you get home or when it's raining. I know exactly how you feel.
