Well for an extra $72.00 for a battery back up, I think I'll keep my RS siren and make sure my insurance premium is paid up to date.

I did a dual RS siren install, I think it was $15.00 for 2 sirens and wire, one mounted under each side cover. It took about 1/2 hour to install and spent what I saved on gas to go riding.

Just installed the RS one on my bike. Works great. Saved $80 bucks.

Just did the same on the RS siren and works great. Louder than I expected. I didn't splice any wires, or F*&k with the ECM. I opened the left side cover and just unplugged what seemed to look like where you would plug the HD siren too. It had the right colored wires so I slide the wires in place, moved the scooter and got a chirp. Taped it and screwed the alarm in a tab that was there. Done!! Really shuck up the scooter and that little siren was pretty loud. Was just starting to hurt the ears when it shut off.

This is a great Mod.... Did one in about 15 min. Velcro'd mine on back of ECM... cut's down on the sound a little but is still very good and much better than what I had before which was 'Lights Only'..........

Yes. Add the Piezo siren from Radio Shack for less than 7 bucks. You'll save a bundle and it works as good as the HD one.

yeah, cause when the alarm is screaming a would be thief is gonna be sure to pull the side cover and yank the fuse out just to test to see if you have a battery back up (or if your battery is possibly dead)........

Did this a few days ago with the RS siren... sounds and works good. I may add a second siren for good measure.

LOL.
I could give 2 sh*ts about the HD siren with back-up battery. I bought chrome with the 80 bucks I saved.
