What is the procedure to get my 02 EG Classic (electronic Fuel Injection) to show me the stored trouble code and where do I go to find out what the code means?
Because the trouble code could relate to different things, maybe current problem or stored, you should bite the bullet and buy the Factory Service Manual for your model year. Not the answer you were looking for but you'll be happy you got it in the long run
Thanks, but you're right. I have the Factory Service Manuals, but they don't tell how to make it give up the codes without the "reader". I've tried, turning the run switch to run, pushing in on the Odometer reset, turning the key on and then releasing the reset button...but I don't think that's the way to do it on my model....I'm looking for the combination that will tell me the code, so I can look it up and see if it's a part I need to buy and install or what.
