OK, the bike I bought to replace my totaled 08 came with no radio. Such a killer deal, NP plus the guy had a biketronics retro radio interface. Bike is an 08 RG.
I had the Biketronics setup on my 01 Rg for a few years and really liked it compared to the casette player that came stock that year,
The display of sony head unit i had before was difficult to see but I lived with it.
I finally got all the stereo gear together and installed a new Sony CDX-630UI yesterday. This display is virtually impossible to see. I know the angle of the RG's adds to the difficulty but I'd guess even the batwingers have extreme difficulty seeing these displays in full daylight especially if sun is out.
What aftermarket radio are any of you guys using that the display can be seen? I am thinking possibly the sony Marine head unit addresses this but I want the Sirius direct capability as well as front usb and aux ports like the 630 has.
Anyone know of a radio that will work for me?
Thanks for your input.

I have the same radio in my 2005 EGS. Don't have the book handy, but I think that you can set the dial to either blue or green and there is a contrast adjustment.
I have the same radio on my SG, no problems seeing the numbers. A buddy liked mine and bought one for his Road Glide, he could not see anything, he returned it...
thanks guys I just installed a new kenwood in my roadglide the other day, love the radio but could not see the display in sunlight either... never knew about the anti-glare screens, just ordered one made for book reader should be big enuf to cut down hopefully it will help.
