Default Classifieds do work....

When I`m looking to buy or sell, that`s where I go. Before ebay or Kijiji.

I have sold lots of stuff in the forum classifieds.....and bought several items.

As a matter of fact I have listed a few things on both the forum classifieds and ebay and the forum got way more views than ebay did.

The way i see it if someone cant FIND Classifieds then they probably cant FIND the funds to buy anything either....You can try selling you goods here but it will get moved and or one of the forum police will tell you were it SHOULD go!!!!..... :-) Oh and good luck on your sale....

I come here mostly so I don't mind if people post stuff for sale here.

Of course I'm not one of those guys who organizes and separates their food on their plate or ensures all the can labels are turned to the front in my pantry.

I do visit the classifieds though and have sold many items with success. So..... I guess I can support either. Don't care really.

I agree with Creep1 but can also see why others don't agree. Personally, I think that if I'm dead set looking for something I'd definitely go to the classifieds but if I'm just tooling around the threads and stumble on something that I necessarily wasn't looking to buy but does catch my eye, great, it's my lucky day.

I think we all have the option to click on what topics we want to read and bypass the ones we don't. That's just my two cents though. I'm relatively new to HD-Forum and don't necessarily know all of the rules.

Thank you lindsay. my point is your chances to sell something increase when its in more than one place. How many times have you been at best buy heading to the dvd section and they put the gps display right next to the new release dvds. You had no intention on buying a gps but it caught your eye and bam - you make the purchase. It happened to me !! Come on guys wake up and realize my point.

The classified's must work pretty well, everytime I need something and look there, it's already sold...

Creep1, I don't think anyone has to "wake up" to see your point which is the "Touring Models" part of HDF gets a lot more views than the classifieds and the seller would get more exposure if parts for sale were here instead of just the classifieds.

Personally, I like the fact that the classifieds are where for sale parts are listed. The Touring section gets plenty of threads/replies without adding for sale parts to it.

Like others, I have had no difficulty selling parts via the classifieds and have gotten good deals buying there as well.

Bottom line: the classifieds work well for buying/selling parts, so there isn't a problem for HDF'ers who want to buy/sell parts under the current rules IMO.

I see both sides of the fence, but if everyone started posting crap for sale HERE, we would have to go somewhere else to chastise someone for using the wrong oil. Then we're back to where we started.
