Im thinking on pulling the trigger for the auto tune for my pc v on the 08 ultra with stage 1 air, tw 6-6 woods cams and jackpot dyno tunes.
Question is who has one and pros/ cons of it versess running the canned map?
Jamie has me a good setup map but i am thinking auto tune would be better.
I have the PCV and the auto tune. I put a base map in to start, then ride. I don't worry about any other maps. Do i see a difference YES, and I love my setup.
2010 Street Glide, K&N air intake, 2009 headpipe with rush 2.5 baffle mufflers. VROOM VROOM, ZOOM ZOOM.
What reason do you have for wanting the Auto-Tune kit? Are you an addicted tweaker (like I am) or do you plan on making future mods and don't want to fool with changing maps or doing dyno-tunes after every one of them? If yes to either of these two questions you might be a candidate for AT. Otherwise, I think you should buy the basic PCV and accept it as an excellent tuning solution in its own right. Jamie will install an optimal map for your setup, so that should be enough for the needs of most riders, IMO.
Advantages: Precise on-the-fly AFR tuning throughout the RPM/TP range and the peace-of-mind that generates.
Disadvantages: Cost ($300), additional hardware to install that isn't plug-and-play like the PCV was.
I have auto tune but did spend time on Jamie's dyno getting the map spot on. I could not be happier with the combination of a good dyno tune map and PCV autotune.
