and bolts. started seeing moisture round the frame below the tranny. found the 2 bolts that hold the exhuast bracket which pass throught the bottom of the tranny cover had backed out about 1/4 inch. tranny fluid had been squeakin out. not much, but the fluid check was little low.
I had a similar issue with an outboard motor. One of the head bolts backed out and was grinding against the starter flywheel. That was pretty bad since it happened long before the first service interval. At a minimum I always get the initial service done by the dealer to make sure the warranty covers any potential problems.
I have the same problem, and you can hardly get a allen wrench on them to get em tight. The last time they came loose I had to take it into HD and while they replaced the on/off cruise control switch, I asked if they could put locktite on em and get em tight. They are still snug after a few thousand miles. This is the 5th time I had to resnug these bolts never used locktite b4 we will see if it stays.

yeah, i cut half the short end of an old allen key off to get at them, but, i also found that a key for disposal resetting is 1/4 and angled perfect for this. just not strong enough to really crank on it. the short key worked and im gonna keep an eye on it. i wanted to go to the dealer but im riding to obx on thursday and wont have time to get it there. ill stop in the dealer after i get back.
