Question Dunlop E3 Part #

Fellas I need help knowing which tires to get for my 2008 Touring. I have stock rims. What rear and front part number do I get? I'm considering getting the Dunlop Elite 3, want to make sure I get the right ones. Also if you know a get place to get a set feel free to drop the dime...

Your tire size is stamped on the side of your tires thats on the bike. Get the same size or closes to them.

just received a set of E3's today from Dennis Kirk $176 delivered. I wanted to buy them from my local dealer. If we don't support our local dealer we won't have one. However, they quoted me $389. So much for supporting my local dealer. Then the best price after I said no thanks was $265. I told them they have a problem if I have more buying power than they do. They told me the reason for the low prices from many of the after market places was because they buy up a lot of "old stock"...tires that have been sitting around for a long time. New tires past their shelf life...that's the reason for the low prices. They said they won's sell old tires, just fresh ones. Well the tires came today and the front is 6 months old and the rear is 5 months old...that's pretty fresh. The rear 402 the dealer put on last summer was 12 months months old.

Get some dyna beads (for balancing) and change tires yourself. Around here it's getting hard to find an Indy to mount the tires for me if I bring in the tires so I picked up a Harbor Freight tire changer with motorcycle tire attachment. Bought a nice mounting bar and some plastic pieces for the machine to protect the rims. And just in case I run into a problem tire I got some long tire spoons.

It'll pay for itself in 4 tire changes.

In retrospect I should have just bought this No Mar tire changing system.

$600 compared to your $150 solution. Why do you say you should of bought the $600 one?
