Like chicken soup.............it can't hurt.
Thats how I look at it. I put a cap full in every now and then. Usually around fluid changes, start and end of the season.
I've been known to through a little (cap or two full) mystery oil in with a full tank of gas every now and then.
Again, its just an old school habit that makes me feel like I'm doing something.
I don't think it hurts anything.

what he said.....10 years and 78k miles and haven't need any FI cleaner yet.

Remember most containers of injector cleaner have enough to treat several tank fulls on a bike. I run a little Sea foam through once mid season and when Winter approaches.

I agree. Why? Find a gas station in your area that has 10% ethanol and burn a tank of that a couple times a year.

I have used Amsoil's PI and any other cleaner that's on sale, but I usually wait for Techron to go on sale...never heard a bad thing about it--just good.
Yes, gas, especially premium has cleaners in it, but what if you happen to fill up when the stations tanks are low or just after a tanker has filled the tanks and all that sediment is stirred up.
i do what some others have said and treat a tankfull 2 or 3 times a year.
