Thanks Jamie for the info on the packing, I trust your opinion and after riding another 120 miles sunday, I had no packing following me around town. It was a changed baffle from Keith due to my bike having true duals. The sound is AWSOME, thinking about changing for the competition baffles, even the wife says the louder the better.
I finally had a chance to get out and go for a short spin with my Jack Pot Dyno's installed. Comparing them to the V&H basic slip-ons they replaced, they certainly have a nice, deeper tone. I also personally think they're a tad quieter than the V&H's were, at both idle and rolling throttle (Keith thought they'd be a bit louder at a aggressive accel). The tone is throaty with zero hint of raspiness. I certainly don't feel the need for the quiet baffles. I originally wanted the slash-ups after owning slash-downs but then I saw the straight cuts at their website. I took a chance with the straight cuts and nailed it! They extend out a tad further than the V&H's did and they look like small cannon barrels. Very, very cool. Just a solid choice and very, very satisfied
You say the Air Cleaner was a pain...I am getting ready to install this setup on a couple bikes. The instructions say A standard 3/16 allen with a 90 degree bend should work....right?
If not what special allen wrench should I get before I get started on this?
Thanks for any and all tips to remove the stock setup and install the Fuel Moto Air Cleaner!
The allen wrench in your harley tool kit works fine.
I'm on day 3 of my stage 1 mods from Fuelmoto which include Jackpot mufflers with standard baffles, 2-1-2 head pipe, high flow intake and Tmax w/AT on my 2010 Street Glide. I'm extremely happy with my purchase between, quality, performance, sound and exceptional customer service! Fuelmoto and Jackpot Rocks!!!
I just installed a set of Jackpot Dyno Tuned w/silent baffles, insert removed, last week. I've put about 300 miles on them. Its just the sound I was looking for. Not too quiet, not too loud, nice deep tone. Very satisfied with the mufflers & the service I received from Fuelmoto.
