Default Locks for hard bags...

Hey all. I got new hard bags last season from a trade on craigslist. My keys dont fit the locks, thus, I cannot lock them. I searched and cannot find the part number for new locks. Can you all direct me to the part number? What all is needed to get new locks? Thanks.

Just a thought. I am not familiar with later bikes, but some of the locks have a key number on them, so if you can find that you may be able to get just the correct keys for your current locks? You would probably have to go to a Harley dealer to get them.

You need the original key number that you got with the bike. Take it to the dealer and he'll order you locks. I don't remember but I think they cost about $65.

Did the same thing, Swapped leather bags for hard bags. Under the black cover on your keys is a number that is matched to your ignition switch. Dealership can get lockes to match your keys, 56.00 $$$, just did it last year. Sorry don't know part #.

You can take your VIN number to your dealer to order a matching set.

So, just take the locks out and take them into a locksmith? I have never experienced a locksmith.
