Thumbs up Dr. Vtwin is the chit!!!!!

Guys, I just really feel the need to take a moment and let everyone know this absolute AWESOME experience and service that I had dealing with Dr. Vtwin. I ordered a D&D fatcat 2:1 with a perf standard baffle and the ghost pipe about 2 months ago or so after the guys over at DR. Vtwin gave me an absolutely absurdly great deal on it. Now , as you guys know from my threads, I have done a pretty extensive rebuild of my 2008 streetglide over the past few months. The new D&D system arrived, and the slant up mufflers did not flow well with my extended bags and fender. They were too short and fell short of the bags and fender. I immediately knew that I needed custom length mufflers, not to mention that the quiet baffle left a tremendous dip in the low to mid range of my motor build on the dyno.
Soooo, I called D&D to tell them what I needed to do. WELLLLLLL, two new mufflers made to my dimensions with a big bore baffle were going to cost me almost what I paid for the entire system even after D&D took back the ghost pipe since it was never mounted. I gave DR. Vtwin a call and Shean REALLLLLLLLY stepped up to the plate and took care of me on the pricing of the new mufflers. I couldnt believe what these guys were willing to do for me to take care of MY PROBLEM.

Fast forward 2 weeks (Dr. Vtwin also got a rush put on my new mufflers..normally takes 3-6 weeks for custom work), Shawn from the Dr. calls me to tell me that my parts are going to ship from D&D and that they are about to run my card for payment (this was great of them. I asked them to do this so I made sure I had the money transferred into my checking account because I gave them a debit card number) Shean tells me that since they took care of me so well on the parts that if I paid by card that they would get whacked with the fees, so he gives me the option, do I want to pay the fees which were like $18 of just send him a check if I want. Now that is just awesome...in order to save me a couple bucks more, they were willing to hold off on my payment and wait for a check to come in the mail...once again, great guys!

Now today, I just got my new mufflers via fedex. The right side can did not have the collar on the end that covers the c-clamp which secures the muffler to the header. I figure D&D just forgot to put it in the box. I call D&D and speak with Leonard and it turns out that the clamp cover IS NOT part of the muffler and actually comes with the full system. In other words, when I sold the old muffler to a forum member, I should have removed the collar before shipping it. My dumb mistake. Anyway, Leonard tells me that with shipping, the little piece will cost me about $60. HOLLLLLLY CHIT!!! I was pissed (at myself). So I figure I will call the Dr. again to see if he can give me a break on this little cover. Well, 5 minutes after hanging up with Leonard, I was pouring myself a drink to calm down before calling Dr. Vtwin and my phone rings. Answer it and it is Shawn from Dr. Vtwin! I was like what the hell, am I tripping or something, I was just going to call them. It turns out that after hanging up with Leonard, he called Dr. Vtwin to let them know that I would be calling and that I was going to need this part so they would know the pricing and such. So, Shawn decided that Dr. Vtwin was going to step to the plate and COVER THE COST of the part and ship it out to me at NO COST TO ME, and he called me to let me know! I cant believe it that a retailer would go out of their way to make a customer happy when the issue at hand is in no way, shape, or form their fault! Dr.Vtwin is an AWESOME group of guys, and when it comes to purchasing parts for my ride in the future, if I want it and Dr. Vtwin can get it, I will be ordering from them...not a second thought!
Guys, I just wanted to tell you, never second guess ordering from these guys. My situation should really drive it home that when it comes to after sale service, Dr. Vtwin is SECOND TO NONE!

Again, Dr. Vtwin thank you for ALL of your help and you WILL be hearing from me again when it come to my next purchase!

Sorry for the long rant, but sometimes a little support for a forum sponsor who goes out of their way for their customers needs to be put out there!

Now that is the best "long rant" I have ever read. Love positive reports.
I have ordered from them and do agree, awesome service.

And your bike is also awesome.

The dudes over there do seem top notch and in the know.
I just ordered some stuff from them and they hooked me up on a great price. Pleasant on the phone and patient as well while I made my mind up on what to order.

HOWEVER, hope that **** shows up this week though cause my wife is sounding like, "since you're not doing anything this weekend maybe we can have a work in the yard day"...oh shoot my *** now.

They took good care of me, too, but I didn't have any problems with my order.... other than it costing way less than anywhere else, and shipping sooner than I expected

Thanks for the great write up. We will bend over backwards to get and keep your business. As everyone that has bought motorcycle parts knows it can become and arduous process sometimes. We will take care of all and for less than the competition. Give a shout and let the Doc write you a new prescription. I spend countless hours answering questions for people as it is just what I do. Paul was dodging me all weekend in Laughlin. He knew what I was after. Faster shipping on his stuff. He laughs when I ask if I can have it this week. Funny guy for sure.
