This is much better than the Permatex stuff....check with the dealer or the body shop....they do good work. a little more expensive but worth it.

Since we have an upholstery expert here, let me ask a question about my seat. I have the Mustang seat for two, real nice seat. All the fabric is in good shape, but 3 buttons have popped off. Can a shop replace the 3 buttons without destroying the cover to get to them? I assume they can pull the staples out of one side on the bottom and work up to the missing buttons. What say you, scarpetta?

I have used the Permetex repair kit with much sucess.Follow the directions.I would practice on something else first to give you an idea of how to do it before you do your seat.

Factory seats are usually put together with different panels. A reputable upholstery shop will be able to replace only the panel that is torn. You could even have the foam modified for a more comfortable ride while it's off being repaired. I hav local friend with a custom upholstery shop that does that fairly often.
