Default wheel swap

Looking at a set of aftermarket wheels. Will wheels for the '08 Street Glide fit on my '07 Road King? Both have ABS, if that is a concern. Preciaaaate it.

I don't know but you could got to the Harley site and see if there's a difference with their wheels.

Other than the obvious question about general wheel size itself ( diameter & width) your other concern needs to be about axel size. Earlier models will have a 3/4" axel compared to the newer 1" axels on newer models. Now the bad news, I dont know what year the switch was made! I believe if necessary you can always remove the bearings & have the correct size put in to accomodate your needs.
I guess it depends on how good of a deal you might be getting on your new wheels. Good Luck.

There's quite a few posts on guys using 08 & newer wheels on earlier year bikes, you have to either switch the axle or the bearings & not sure on the ABS since it was only available on police bikes before 08. The switch to 1" front axles was in 2000, so front wheels from 00-07 are the same, fork lowers are the same from 00-10 so an axle switch will work.

I doubt there is any relevance to the ABS on an '07 FLHP and an '08 ABS wheel since the ABS systems are so different. The '07 uses an exciter ring in the left brake rotor and the wheels themselves have nothing to do with ABS.

They will fit but you will have to swap the axle and since both have ABS you should be ok. I thought ABS started on 08 bikes, unless you have a police bike.

What years are you referring to here? Earlier, meaning before '08?

Correct

Well, I'm confused as hell now. One says 3/4" axle on '07 and one says 1" axle on 00-07.

I have an '07 RG. It has 1" axles. I got some SG wheels off an '8. It has 25MM axles. 25MM is about .014" smaller than 1.00". I am going to install new 1" bearings in the '08 wheels, rather than switch the bearings from the old wheels, just for peace of mind.
I believe HD went to 1" axles on the front end in 2001, and added the 1" rear axle in 2002, but they might have done that a year earlier.

Ahh, now that makes a lot more sense to me. Change the bearings to the '07 bearings and they will work.
