Default FLH front wheel alignment

I recently had a tank slapper after changing the tyres (to Avons) and fitting a progressive link. The bike felt edgy fron the off. Anyway, I am going through it front to back and already have a question. I noticed the front wheel discs are marked left and right. This works if you are looking at the bike from the front but they are the wrong way round if Im looking from the seat. Which is right and would it make any difference if the shop had got the wheel the wrong way round? The tyre rotation is correct.

Thanks
Pete

Just like in a car everything is viewed from the riders seat, the clutch is the left side front brake is the right.

2000-2007 the rotors were reversed to stop brake squeel. You need to make sure that the valve stem is on the right side (brake side) of the bike that puts the wheel in the correct position.

Thanks Doc,

I always understood it was from the seat and so wondered if they had reversed the wheel but the valve is on the right so I guess its right and the hunt is still on.

Tank slapper is from the front end adjustment being loose.

Hi Doc,
i had a proper tank slapper over 30 years ago on a Honda. This was more like an wave in the frame that built up as I reduced speed (from too fast). It went as I got to about 60 but I am looking for the cause as Im not keen to find it again. Thanks for the advice.
