I was wondering about the Road Zeppelin seat from HD. It looks like a nice one with built-in air compressor to adjust the firmness of the seat. $700 from the dealership but $564 from Zanotti's. Hellava good deal for a nice seat like that.
If the Signature Series seat with back rest was available for the touring bikes I'd suggest taking a look at it too.
Still not worth trading in a $26,000 bike over when it's a $200 fix.
Thanks. Interesting thread. I can appreciate this forum cuz we could talk just about everything and learn at the same time cuz MOCO or Dealers don't tell us everything as they want our money.
Is the height ok with you. I got 2010 limited and got the new seat that came out later but still I couldnt be firm on the ground.I had mean city lower the new seat as much as they could and they put in memory foam all for 100 when I was down at panama city beach rally last week..it got me about 2 more inches and rode back about 300 miles and no problem...
Need help here.....have 2010 ultra limited.......would like suggestions on new seat or Gel pads or whatever......I'm about ready to trade in with only 3300 miles on her because of this.....Thanks alot
I love my Limited but have to agree the stock seat is horrible. I certainly wouldn't get rid of the bike over the seat.
I have the newer style seat that came out in February. For some reason I incorrectly assumed Harley would put a comfortable seat on a touring bike. Still exploring options but will probably go with a rework of the stock seat this winter.
I completely understood your situation on the 2010 seat cuz I have an '09 Ultra as it's very comfortable, Not one problem or 2.
Rented 2010 Ultra in Las Vegas 2 weeks ago to find the seat very uncomfortable for me and my lady. Absolutely do not know why the seat setting had changed from '09 to '10. Did HD do something about the seats, I wonder ?.

Maybe I should find a 2009 seat on ebay or craigs list??????
Joko don't expect miracles with 09 seat either. They drastically changed the seat pan from 08 to 09 for worse. See MCC link in post #7. Good news is Allen at MCC can make these seats feel much better.
