When I first got the bike only one of the rear speakers was working. A day later, neither of them worked although I could hear crackling and popping out of the clutch side rear speaker. I checked my schematic and it shows that the rear speaker wires run through the CB circuitry some how. My guess is that it has to do with the CB mute, push to talk and intercom system. The circuit board under my side cover has 3 fuses on it. The POD fuse was blown. Could that possibly have something to do with the rear speakers not working?
Surprising.... so many FLHTCU owners here and nobody knows what that 5 AMP POD fuse is!
I would think that since its 5 amps it must be something fairly important. They show it in the service manual but there is no schematic for it and they don't mention what it is or what it is for.

You have a 20 year old bike. HD stopped using that wiring configuration a long time ago, so owners of newer Ultras don't have that fuse panel for the CB/audio that you have on your bike.
What service manual do you have? In any event, if the fuse is blown it needs to be replaced. Also, the audio section of the SM should refer to the POD in the audio/CB section.

Hey Carl, it does refer to it in the HD service manual. It says its the POD 5 amp fuse. They don't show the wiring in the schematic for it but the circuit panel its attached to looks like it has something to do with the CB, intercom. I think its the electronics for the PTT, and the antenna splitter (CB/AM/FM).
I agree.. most of the Ultra riders here are riding Twinkies.
thats the plug in for turning your bike into a POD racer so you can enter it in the race on Bunta eve on Tatooine and go up against sebulba and Anikan skywalker.
