I bought one off the internet and never had to talk to anyone.
I have sense bought two more for friends (because one never had a credit card and the other on doesn't do internet).
You will have a wait this time of year. You waited until riding season to order one.
I use Hot Water and a Micro Fiber towel to clean bugs and don't have any scratch issuses.
I was unhappy with the Stock shield and replaced it with a 11" HD - wasn't happy with that and went to the Klock Flare 8.5 and didn't care for that, then ordered the Clearview 9.5 smoke blem and got it within 4 days for a trip - was VERY impressed with the service and turnaround - rode all the way back in the rain and it performed flawlessly and I've still never located the blem.
I won't run anything else.
I put a 9.5" smoke w/recurve on my 08 Street Glide and have never looked back. Stock shield is useless; looks good in the showroom, where it belongs. Yes, you might have to wait for a return call, but it's worth it. On another note, I ordered a blem shield, still looked fine to me, but I wanted to return it cause it was an 8" w/recurve and John was nice enough to take it back and sent me out the 9.5". Great guy, and good service. I'm also using the fork baffle from HD.
Same shield and bike. I have over 20K on it and never had a problem. Also, I've never had a problem with it scratching and do not use special care when cleaning it.
I ordered a 12" smoked recurve on the 28th of March. Still have'nt received it even though they advertised 2-3 weeks to manufacture and they have charged my credit card. It's now six (6) weeks and when I called I got a message that stated the busy time of the riding season. So I understand and will have to be a little more patient.
Rogerfromco, thanks for the local insight. I did receive a call and an email from them today. Unfortunately, I was not available to answer the call. So, now it's my problem. Thanks, everyone, for all the great responses. It makes my stress level a bit lower to know the people and product are worth a little bit of hassle.
I own two over the last four years. no issues and and after 35,000 miles not one scratch. That's the real deal. on top of that, i look over the windshield and don't get wind in my face. I cut done my stock windshield and what a catastrophy. There may be other good windshields, but this is an excellent product.
Received my 9.5 inch dark gray with recurve about 2 weeks ago. I did finally talk with Craig who looked over their stock then called me. Made my choice and it was shipped. It arrived the Monday after our talk, (5 days including the weekend). I put it on right away and love the look. I have about 500 miles on it now and couldn't be happier. Even the wife says she can tell a positive difference from the backseat. If you're thinking Clearview or any recurve windshield, make your order and don't look back. A great product backed by busy but very helpful people.
Good news. Excellent product, I really like their shield. Bad news. When they get busy, customer communication lags. Be patient, it will show. Mine took over 6 weeks last year with with not a peep from them. It will show up and you'll be happy.
