She's under warranty - take 're in for a check. Could be something w/the ECM, but the fastest/cheapest fix is dealer warranty.

Try this. It will probably work. Turn ignition switch to off. Turn kill switch to run. Rotate ignition switch from off to ignition. The yellow check engine will turn on for a few seconds then off. As soon as the light turns off turn ignition to off. Wait a couple seconds and repeat. Do this four or five times and this should reset the idle. Start the bike after this process and you should be idling normally again.

You could start by re-centering your throttle position.
Turn the bike on but not starting it,roll back your throttle then open it wide open then roll it back again. Then let it sit at it's rest position turn of the bike killing the power to the ECM.
Pretty common problem with the fbw throttle bikes. If you rev it a bit or it's not at the rest position when you shut her down, the ECM will think that that's where the throttle position is zero'd.

I'd try that first and see if your idle at warm settles down to 1100.

Wink Perfect !!

It worked ! I did both just to be sure.... so not sure which method worked :-)

I also put in some Red Line Complete gas/injection cleaner, thinking got some bad gas...

All good.... thanks again for your help

By the way these idle instruction reminded me of buddies BMW K1200lt procedure he had to do about 3 times per year..

Where did you pick these up for the Harley ??

Glad it worked. Not sure where I got the info on the reset, but this is a very common issue with TBW. I had not heard of the re-centering until now. I will try that next time my idle runs high. The forum is a great place to learn. No doubt about that.

I learned about it when I installed a V&H Fuel pak on my bike once. It was one of the moduals. You could physically watch the numbers go up and down as you twisted the throttle.

I also picked it up here and there. Can't really pin point where.

Glad it worked. it's something you might want to keep in mind if you disconnect the battery for an extended time. You can also do the same thing to your FBW cars as well. I did it to my 2010 Challenger when it came from the factory as well. It did make a slight differance.

How are you switching off the engine? I was told by my dealer to switch of with the ignition switch only, using the kill switch will cause high idle speeds after re-starting, so that's what I do and don't have any problems
