Default Stage II help??

I just installed Vance/Hines Power Duals on my 09 RKC. These made my bike louder and has a deeper rumble, both are good things. I have been getting some additional decel popping, which I do not like. I'll recheck the 4 header pipe nuts and go from there. Question..Do I need to do another download from the dealer or should I go with some other type of aftermarket fuel management? The Service Manager said he recommended the SERT if I went with the Power Duals. Your thoughts, comments, recommendations??

There are a number of tuning options available including the PCV, SEST (SERT is no longer being made), T'max, etc. with many, many threads on this subject here. BTW, "Stage II" usually implies a cam change, and you are now working on a Stage 1, which involves changing mufflers, AC, and tuner.

Good luck, and if you have any specific questions after researching this topic give us a holler.

I like the TTS Mastertune for two reasons. It's not an add-on box - it reprograms the stock ECM, and it retains the O2 sensors and closed loop operation. It's a bit more expensive than others, though.

TTS mastertune is what I recommend. Back in teh day when I ahd the factory downlaod there was popping I could not get rid of either. I c hecked for leaks many times. I added a pcIII and it went away. Were the TTS available with the mastertune software for my 02 I'd have it in a second. I read a lot of good stuff about Thundermax as well adn ahve been thinking about one, but my bike is running great without it. Who knows.

I went with the Power Commander 5 from Fuel Moto, becuase so many of you recommended them. If it doesn't work I will send a bill to this forum and you can all split the cost
