Thunderheader mufflers
I bought a 2004 Road King Classic, it has Vance and Hines Tru duals connected to Screaming eagle mufflers. I want to put Thunderheader mufflers on instead. Is this possible and do I have to put the bike on the DYNO after this change? Thanks!
If your runnung true-duals you need two thunderheader muffs for them.Thats what i'm running. The falsy is for the 2into 1 with a cross-over pipe. Also by the shields from J&P cycles for 50.00 bucs!
If you have an SE aircleaner or ness big sucker, you'll need a PC III or some other device to tune it because V&H fuel pack dont dont have maps for other brands of pipes and muffs.(dyno guy can possibly tweak it to work,i'm not sure)
If you havent changed the air/cleaner you probably be ok with out,but a dyno tune will definitely maximize the performance!

Hi G,
How can you tell what type of air cleaner is installed? What is a PC III and is this something you add to the bike or a tool to tune the bike? What do you think of the Vance and Hines mufflers? Thanks! By the way, your bike is TIGHT!!!!
