Default Tour pak hinges

I am going to paint the top of my tour pak and I am probably going to take the hinges off so I don't have to mask them off, that I might do a better job on the paint. Does anybody have any ideas on putting them back on other than letting the dealer put them back on for me. I wondered if I could just use pop rivets?
thanks RB

Just replace them with the premium tour pak hinges. You'll be glad you did.

Probably could go with pop rivets or even small bolts. There's also an improved Harley hinge set a lot of folks are going to. Might want to check those out. Much cleaner look.

I used stainless steel rivets to put mine back together after paint, looks great. Worth the effort to drill out the hinges and not have to mask them off, and the rivets were like $3.

I put the premium hinges on also. They really do look much better than stock. that said, I agree with the other posters, if you do want/need to reuse the originals, you can pop rivet them back into place. I like the suggestion of using SS rivets.

Another vote for going with the premium tour pak hinges. Just put mine on last week. They're not cheap but they do look good, imo.

I went with the premium hinges and had my dealer do the four latch rivets after paint. Small bolts or pop rivets did not look right to me.

I switched to the premium hinge kit, I used a rotary tool to grind the rivets from the inside, because they were pretty loose, they came right out.if I would have tried to drill them it would have just spun.....

Premium hinges from Lakeshore HD. 20% off, cheap shipping, and they look like they should have in the first place.

Like others have said, go with the Premium Hinges. Much better IMO.
