Default Need Help: Chrome Hand Controls

I'm switching all my hand controls to chrome. My buddy says switch out the cables too while you're doing it. What eaxactly to I need/have to order? My HD dealer wouldn't tell me the part numbers over the phone....

From what I can tell, I need:

Diamondbackâ„¢ Braided Throttle & Idle Cable Kit: PN: 38778-05
and
Diamondbackâ„¢ Clutch Cable Kit: PN: 56846-05

what else would I need?????

Thanks guys

Your buddy sounds like he can spend your money pretty easily!

It's your bike, do what you want to do. If you do what everyone tells you to, let me know....I've got a bridge you may be interested in!

Seriously....if a dealer won't help out....go to another dealer. They make too much money to not speed up a process.

HD has the braided cables too in the catalog it makes it easy to get the right ones. but they are just bling, no better than stockers in how they work

changing the cables does make sense, but the questions was, is this all I need? I'm about to put in a big order, and didnt want to get it all in and find out I needed "this or that" to put the new cables on.

Yeah you're right....It's just for the bling.......

Thanks

Might as well do the brake lines while you are swapping cables.

Diamondback brake lines PN 46697-06

I have a black RK and did not change out the cables, but did chrome all the hand controls and heritage bars because I think black cables look good with black bike.
