Default Can someone tell me whats wrong with my Harley
For the past six months or so I have noticed when I crank up my Harley ( 1999 electraglide standard ) I notice a click sound with a hesitation before it cranks. This morning same thing happened and it ran for 15 to 20 seconds and died. I had to pull the fuel enhancer back out and cranked it again with the same click sound and hesitation before it cranked. It died again before I could put my gloves on. I usually have to hold the fuel enhancer **** until it warms up. On the 3rd try there was a louder than normal click and all of the electronics go out. No power to anything.

I'm no wrench so could someone give me a good idea as to what's up?

Likely a bad ground at the starter. But it could be some other grounding points as well.
I would also check the battery connections. They are known to loosen up.

How old is your battery, what is the voltage there?

Yep sounds a whole lot like a dead battery.

I can't believe that Harley battery is exactly 6 years old today. Seems like I bought it 2 years ago. Oh well.

Thanks guys. On my way to th Harley shop to buy a new one.
