Default Floating Rotors

Are floating rotors worth the extra cost?

On all the choppers I built and my Harley Im sticking with solid or semi floating roters. Full floating are a must on a performance bike but not necessary in my opinion especially with the new Brembo setup on my SG.

Full Floating are better for pure performance but they rattle and make noise almost all the time…high speed and low speed.

Thats whey they dont come stock on most bikes because the MFG dont want the complaints and warranty costs associated with noisy pads.

Definitely worth it. One of the first changes I made to my RKC. Much better feel.

I installed the HD semi-floating rotors. With the stock rotors I was getting some vibrations and squeaking. These cost around $250 for the set. Vivid black centers.

I recently fitted one of those on the rear of my bike. Got 13" full floaters on the front, with 6-pot callipers, 4-pot on the rear. Can't have too much of a good thing!

i put the hd semi floaters on my '02 RG, there was no difference from the stock rotors. changing to lyndall pads is a much better investment.

I have them on the front and love em.
Wish they made em for the rear.
