Any good options to divert the oil back to the head or a breather filter to bridge between the two hoses? also I should mention bike has a stage 1 with a K&N filter
I just got some tubing and a plastic tee and removed the s hoses from the spigots to the air filter. I put the tubing on the ball ends in the head and ran tha tubing down to the bottom of the air filter housing and out behind the pushrod tube to the ground by the front of the engine.
I just read an article in an HD publication "Enthusiast Shoptalk" that says Draining the oil pan using normal procedures can leave as much a 1 quart of oil in the crankcase and cam chest area. This refers to 2007 to 2010 touring models.
Last time I changed oil I added 3.5 qts like the book says and I was overfilled. I had to suck about 1/2 qt out. So if you add 3.5 qts like the book says you could be overfilling by 1/2 qt. This will result in blowing oil out of your cleaner and oil not draining from the cam chest area. The oil that will not drain from the cam chest area will not show on the dipstick.
