A Big Bore stage 2 should get you 120 troque and 110 HP for any repuateble wrencher/tuner.
My 88 is at 95/90 with S&S 510's
I guess it depends on what the definition of a Big Bore Stage 2 is in your mind. 120/110 is not easy and will not be cheap. Most 103's have a hard time hitting those numbers. The few 95" big bores I have seen dyno's for that hit big numbers like that were either Wild Things builds tuned by World Class tuning or really high compression exotic head stuff (Baisley Hi bred, rev performance, etc.).
My 95" w/ 510G and Gerolamy heads is at 85hp and 95tq. What's your secret on your 88" build? What did you do to your heads?
thanks for all the input. I was just looking at what the HD catalog had listed for the big bore stage 2. takes it from 96 to 103 ad uses se 257 cams. I would like to have all the torque down low in the rpm range.
Man they just look so sad lying on their side like that. Makes ya just wanna pick them up and give them a hug and put them back togeather.......................BG
Man, those photos you uploaded are a sad sight, glad you are ok with all that damage. I got an '07 SG about 3 weeks ago and after 1100 miles I love the bike. The only issues I've experienced are those that have existed for some time with the touring bikes....squeeling front brakes (which the dealer noted will be addressed by flipping the disk over?), and the bike pulls slightly to the left when free-handing the handlebars. Other than that the bike just keeps getting better....the pipes are getting louder with more miles although I am still getting some V&H slip-ons next week, and the engine is now broken in well and is showing its 96 inch capabilities much more than the first few hundred miles.
Next week I'm getting my 1K service, V&H pipes, SE air filter upgrade, and SE race tuner with re-map and dyno........I can't wait.
i'm definetly feeling lucky right now. i found out today that the car that hit me is being totaled. the impact pinned the bike under the gaurd rail. somehow i ended up 50 ft down the road against the gaurd rail. anyway i'm just thankful i wasn't seriously injured.
I always stay away from first year, new release models, but I like the idea of a 96" motor and 6 speed. Plus you get the 170 rear tire on the 07s. But you can build a 95" and add a 6 speed to an 06. If your insurance does you right, I would get the 07 unless you get a "Great" deal on an 06. Do all those mods before you take deliver to get it covered under the factory warrenty.
Wait, I just looked at your pics, that bike can be fixed!!! Ha, made ya laugh. Fight your insurance if they say it's repairable. Short of a low speed fall in a parking lot, don't let um fix a bike.
