didn't get a response on the softail side but was hoping someone had some ideas. My Speedometer and Odometer are not working. the light works the odometer reads 0.0 but does not work. checked all connections changed all circuit breakers under the seat (99 softail) and it still is not working. would appreciate any ideas or leads. thanks

 

Sounds like the speedometer itself took a dump. It happens. I would say to check the speed sensor in the tranny case as well and clean the shavings off and reinstall, but from the sounds of it, it sounds like the entire speedo unit might be bad.
