Default Leaking Base Gaskets????

I have a 2010 Street Glide. Added Stage 2 at 1000 miles. Still breaking it in at 1430 miles. This morning I noticed oil stains at the back of each cylinder.

I had several evo's that developed leaking base gaskets and a 2001 twin cam that seeped a little. I thought Harley fixed this along time ago with o rings? Is this normal? Is anyone else experiencing it? Bike runs fine otherwise.

Thanks

yeah man, when you mentioned base gaskets, i sure thought you were talking about an evo. that's the last time they used base gaskets. did the harley shop do the stage 2? is that a big bore kit? i can't remember. but anyway, if they did the install take the bike back to them cause your bike is still under warranty. just for laughs look at the bottom of your air cleaner element. they're prone to collecting a bit of oil that can blow over your motor, and while it's warm it can run down, as per gravity, although i'm not sure it would get to the base area of the cylinders. hope you get her fixed anyway.

Had the stage 2 installed in my 08 and experienced the same issue. Dealer asked if I would put 1k miles on it to see if it would seat. Of course I am thinking that this should be sealed from day 1, but what do I know. Needless to say, still leaking and they stated defective gaskets was the issue

Sounds like the installer either forgot to put the o-rings on or cut them somehow during install and needs to go back in and redo it.

There HAS NOT been base ring leaking issues since 99 with the intro of the TC.

Someone blew it!

Thanks-Conversion was done about two weeks ago by the Harley Shop. I'm going to spray some contact cleaner around the cylinder bases to clean it off and hope it's just left over from doing the work. If it comes back I'll take it back in. Not looking forward to having them take it all apart again.
