IMO, that thing would be a turd in a 88" with the valve timing and duration unless you were at a minimum of 10:1. If you ride in that rpm range most of the time, the 26 or 37 would be a much better choice and you would be in the power band of the cam on the highway and would see an improvement in lower end torque as well.

Do you already have the headwork done? What does/did the head guy recommend?

Doesn't look like a good cam for riding at the rev's you say you ride at - you need something more mid-range oriented. This is a low lift, long duration revving cam that needs capacity and compression to pull the power down to where you ride. Your headwork would need to take your compression up quite a lot - over 10/1 to even begin to compensate. You be better off with something that closed intake around 38/40 degrees and had around 240 duration. Put a 95" kit in and make sure the compression is around 10/1 and the cam will work but without that you'll lose more than you gain.

cool
i was thinking the same. i have some old juggs here i might just swap for a 95 kit. im not familiar to much with the cams for these bikes anymore. i was leaning towrads the 26 before i saw these for sale. i think ill just go with my gut and stay with them.

I had the 37's in my 88". It didn't have any head work, and it had Rienhart tru duals but it was pretty soft until 3,000 rpm. I'd say to go with the 26's or if you are riding two up a lot use the 21's.
