My '09 Ultra Classic had 4 hours of labor charges for a chrome front-end. The windshield trim, all of the rear spoilers with lights and tour pak rack were all installed together with the front-end.

I was wondering (1) how many hours of labor the book shows to install the chrome front end fork package on a 2010 Limited? The $449 for the parts arent bad, just wondering (2) how many hours they charge to do the work. (3) Any help would be appreciated.
Your original post actually asked for three things: (1) book rate; (2) the hours dealers actually charge (which may be different than the book rate); and, (3) "any help."
I believe BigSky's reply was in response to number 3.
I dont need any lessons on how to use the almighty search function, .....Maybe you should utilize the search function yourself and learn a thing or two.

You're gonna get dinged for 4 hours from the dealer. If you can turn a wrench at all, I'd suggest doing it yourself. This forum and the "other" 2 forums have alot of good info with pics for this job. I've done 3 now and I dont make $90.00 an hour.
Get all your parts and directions together along with a 6-pack of your favorite beverage and set aside a Sat morning. Should be able to take it for a test ride that afternoon, aint that difficult.
Thanks to all those who replied and helped answer my question. That was greatly appreciated.
The reason I have refrained from contributing in the past is just for this reason. Ask a question and people try and give answers to questions not asked. Would it make sense when someone ask "What time is it" for someone to answer "It is very sunny outside"? I really dont have time to get into a pissing contest with other people. I would prefer to continue to learn from others sharing the same passion.
I agree that the number of posts may not directly relate to knowledge, but it would be impossible for me to have gained information throughout the past year without learning something from a person with that many post. For that I say Thank You.
I will say that now I have finally decided to share my own opinions and experiances, I am hooked. This is addicting. I will try to get tougher shoulders and try and not take everything so personally.
Thanks Again, and apologies to those who felt attacked.

Nice comeback, welcome to the forum.
Internet pissing matches dont accomplish anything.
good interaction going on. may need a human resources person to facilitate.
IMHO 2 wheelglider is right but you got to understand you get what you pay for. on the other hand, it's understandable to not like to be treated like you don't know anything just because you don't have 50000 posts. sort of makes me wonder when people on the forum do credit check on a person to determine their credibility.
Merlo, Cab or Bud anyone ????
4 hours is what I was quoted, also they said they could lower the front end at the same time without any additional labor (if you were thinking about that).
Since this thread has kind of gone the "search function" direction I thought I'd add a tip.
I use google and limit the results to hdforums.com. It works.
