I have a 10 streetglide and adjusted the belt cold to the loose side of specs. I've noticed after a good ride and everything is warmed up and hot that the belt gets really tight then after it cools down overnight, the belt is looser againg. The bike doesn't ride any different or make any belt noise and it's centered on the rear sprocket.
Just want to know if this is normal.

 

how many miles do you have on it that you adjust it

 

I adjusted it 1k miles and it has about 1300 now. Never really payed any attention to it until recently.

 

yeah, the pulleys will expand as they warm up, so its normal for tension to vary from hot to cold.

 

The belt gets substantially tighter when it is warmed up.
