Default First problem,,,,

Ok, I will admit I didn't do any search yet, but one of my latches wont latch. If I close the bag, making sure it's hooked in the rear, it springs back out when I push the handle down......
Anyone have a problem like this before?
I looked, and compared it to the other side, but I can't see any real difference in them.
It closes, and I can lock it to keep the lid from coming open.
But that's the only way it stays closed....

I am sure it means a trip to the dealer,, but I am curious.

Anyone see this before?

the little L tabs on the bottom of the latch, push it back a little, that should fix it.

Well, bending those two bottom tabs up, I got it to latch, but the RH latch doesn't even touch those two tabs, it just goes "Over center" and locks down. It seems like the LH one, never makes it to the "Over center" mark, those "Tabs" do catch it now, and hold it it seems.
I'll keep my eyes on it,

Make sure the material flap that holds the lid in the open position is not getting caught between the lid and lower bag when you shut the lid. The left bag is normally worse due to leaning on the stand. Mine does this all the time, it got caught in there once and the wife forced the latch closed and locked it. Now the flap has a crease line across it that only makes it do it more often. With the lid tabs engaged and the latch open, I just stick my hand in and make sure the flap is away from the edge before closing the latch.

You Can remove the flaps and reverse them to eliminate this problem.

I'll look at that more closely, I can't sit here and SWEAR they are not doing that, but it's not very obvious if they are.
It does seem to have JUST started happening out of the blue, so I can't imagine there is anything wrong with the latch really.

Jim,
Ill bet that's what it is too!
Same thing happened to me one night' Didn't know what the heck it was
till I saw it.
When shutting the bag reach in and push that material inward toward the inside.
It'll work'

My guess is pilot error. Put the lid on properly and the latch will work.

Wow,, I hope it feels good to be right,,, Yea, I Didn't know how to put it on,, thanks!

To all those who have had this happen to before, and offered the suggestion, my sincere thanks!
Yes, there was the smallest part folded up. I mean even if I pushed the material in while closing, it still caught,,,,
I guess I'll turn it around like another mentioned so the folded part doesn't go in between so easily.

Guess when I had a full bag the other day it pushed the material up.

Nothing like trying to make a poster look like a dumb a$$ thanks!
