I have a 2005 RK Classic with 43,000 miles and recently I drianed the gas tank and changed the filter and the fuel line. I have no idea what the inside of these tanks are coated with but up on the inside right hand corner of the tank it looked like paint peeling off the inside wall of the tank.
This is the area that gets it when you are pumping gas into the tank. I cleaned the tank out as well as possible and then about a month and a half after the motor is running rough evrery now and then. Could this problem be caused by the coating peeling off the inside of my tank.
There are no codes on the bike it just spits and sputters sometimes for no paticular reason, just wondered if anyone had run into this before. Tahnks...
