do i have to remove the fairing to change it? 03 ultra classic electra glide

Just had mine fixed under warranty. 09 Ultra.

funny, mines out too...
I would assume you do have to remove the outer fairing...
they are ... or normally are bolted on from the rear....

The outer faring has to come off!
7 screws.

VINNIE, the replacement bulb is a Wagner 158 just in case you didn't know.

Funny, that is always the first one to go.... I just did it on my 07 FLHX, you have to remove the outer fairing (3 Min fix)....

Yes teh fairing has to come off. But why bother. That fuel gage is about as useful as the temperature gage.

fairing has to come off. if you use the HD replacement bulb, take the condom off it first (makes the gauge easier to see in the dark).

I just replaced mine with a led. It is an easy fix.
