Another idea some of us on here have installed. The HK Drive and Play (version 1). All the controls of your ipod, powers your ipod, screen in line of sight. Working for three years without a hitch. Mount your ipod where you like.
The Nano is so small and weighs nothing. I actually took two pieces of industrial strength velco and use that on the lower part of the inside of the fairing beneath the line of the handle bars. I have a bike playlist that I flip on as I start my ride...so I am not fooling around with the thing. That plus a 1 foot cable to plug into the Aux input on the stereo....and voila. Never have had a problem even remotely around losing it.
True, but Sunday morn in my area some idiot busted a traffic light, running from Police, at over 100MPH, broadsided a Lincoln Town Car ( driver of TC dear at scene) hit another mini van, three hurt in van...all 3 vehicles totaled and driver facing VH charges along with much more...point? don't think fooling with an Ipod had anything to do with TC driver being killed, you never know.
And I'm sure you always wear safety equipment ( full face) armored clothing, never have a beer and ride, never look at another car, girl, bike while riding...yeah right.
Enjoy the ride, be careful and safe...but enjoy it...it may be your last.
Thats fine if you wana attack me for advising the guy against using it. As far as what I do when I'm riding, I do what I feel is right at the time. Then again im not the one asking either. The guy asked advise and I gave my input. When I ask a question you can feel free to give me you advise, till then I don't need your opinion.
Don't believe he asked if it was safe or not, just where to mount it....but you're right, you don't need my opinion....you have enough.
Ok im done with this after this post but I do wana ask you couple things first.
Why are you so concerned with me advising him not to use an Ipod on his bike? He will either take the advise or he wont, neither of which has any effect on you. Hell it don't even matter to me if he takes the advise or not, im not his daddy lol. I mean really, if you dont like my opinion on the matter thats fine give him your own advise on where to mount it, or is it you only stopped in here to slam on someone that has an opinon you dont agree with? Actually don't even bother answering unless its a PM cause I wont be back to argue this anyway.
Edit: P.S. Sorry Vinnie, just wanted to advise you against using it, didnt intend on turning your post into a flame fest. Ride Safe.
