I would ask the maker of the bars. They should be able to tell you.

I have a Roadglide and had the same issue. I moved up from a Sportster and thought the same body position I had on the Sporty would work on the RG. I asked the dealer about different handlebar options to give me more pullback. The dealer did not try and "sell" me a new set of handlebars. Instead he moved the bars up and forward so that I was reaching for them more, which opened up my back and got rid of the pinching and soreness. Now life is good. Try the low cost option of moving the bars around before you spend the $. Windshields, handelbars and seats can separate a nightmare from a dream come true. Take your time and dial it in.

I had 13" Cyclesmiths on my 05 and used +6 on all cables and lines. I'm getteing ready to order 14" for my 10 from Hill Country Custom. Thats where I bought my CS's and they have better deal now than 5 years ago.

I was having similiar issues with my shoulders on my 10 RKC. I installed a Danny Gray Speed Saddle to get me down and closer to the bars, but it wasn't enough. I just this week changed to the "Heritage" style bars. They are both taller and closer, and so far they seem to be helping. Best part is they didn't cost me a butt load. $65 for the bars, and no cable changes necessary. Not sure if they'd work for you, but thought I'd kick in my (limited) experience on this.

Get a copy of the big accessory book from your dealer, and the part# for your stock bars. The catalog will help you compare the HD bars that will fit your bike. If you compare the base width and tip to tip distances, you can get a rough idea of what your wrist angle will be compared to your stock bars. I just went through this and bought a set of Touring bars for my '04 RK today. They're only about 1.5" taller and narrower than the stock bars but I think they'll work with the new seat. Good luck with your bar search.

I had the same problem with my '09 SG. I was reaching too far with the stock handlebars. I am 5.10". I replaced the stock bars with the HD touring bars, or whatever they are called, and the pain was gone. I did not have to change anything else on the bike.

I'd like to go with different bars too.
It's another of my planned mods down the road sometime. I would like to keep my fairing mounted mirrors, or perhaps go with the Kury 1456's blind spot mirrors. They are still fairing mounted, just stick out just a tad further.
The w1 575's look pretty good to me, not as high as I'd like for sure, probably a lot more comfy than stock.
Gotta compromise to keep the fairing mirrors, I guess.
You guys with the 575's got any pics?
Did you have to change the length of the cables, or?

Default Khrome werks bars

for what its worth i have short arms too and just got a new khrome werks bar thats 3 inches taller than stock with 2 inches more pullback...have a look at their site and you might find what you are looking for...also, they are inexpensive but good bars...also take a look at flanders bars as another option...i also agree with a lot of the guys on here...the right seat/bar combo can make a world of difference after a couple of hours in the saddle..

Thanks for all of the input. I've been exploring my options. If I read correctly, the stock pull back is about 6 inches. PYO Monkey Bars have 9. I defiantly think taller is a must, and back would help my shoulders. I've also been looking at seats. I like the idea of putting an 08-09 RG seat and getting it redone. Maybe lower it but keep some good pad for my tail on the long rides.

Thanks again for the input. Great useful information
