At that speed tire balance is very likely. You may have lost a weight. My buddy ,a car mech. said same thing.

i have had similar deal .except mine is a st. glide anyhow it almost feels like the jiffy stand is bouncing around and hitting the frame .does that sound about right?

Yeah, although there is no noise, it just feels like something is tapping/bouncing off the frame. I checked the jiffy stand to see if the little rubber stopper was on it and it was. Did you ever figure out what was wrong? I wonder if putting a new jiffy stand spring on would help?

About a month ago I noticed that the kickstand spring was a lot weaker than usual. When riding over bumps the kick stand would drop slightly and then I could feel/hear it as it sprang back up and the rubber would hit the frame. Replaced spring and all is well again.

Bike has now been at the shop for 3 days and they still don't know what is wrong with it. Today was a nice day and I missed out on some good riding...

Default Thought?

After reading another post about their PCV "hiccuping" I am wondering if a bad map on my PCV would have anything to do with what is going on? Could the PCV map cause the bike to feel like something is tapping/hitting the frame?

Default Think I have it narrowed down

Got bike back from the dealer today... they couldn't find anything wrong with it, yet all 3 techs that rode it felt the tapping. I talked with Jamie and Keith over at FuelMoto and they had me disconnect the PC-V from the ECM; when I got on the freeway... NO tapping. Looks like its a PC-V problem. When I got home FM was already closed for the night so I'll have to give them a call in the morning and see if they can fix the issue.

Got HD SE Super Pro Tuner put on my bike today and it is running the best it ever has. I am very happy. Just need to get it dyno'ed to get the full performance out of SEST. No more tapping feeling!
