Default Something hitting front

Was out riding tonight, going about 75mph on the highway, and my 09 E. Glide felt strange. The only way that I can explain it is that it felt like something was hitting the lower front end (almost in the tire/frame area). At first I thought maybe a brake line came loose and was flapping around, so maybe my lower fairing vent was loose, but I checked everything and all seemed good. Got back on the highway, and again could feel the "hitting." Anyone ever experience anything like this? I put Progressive springs in the front which ride great, when I test rode the bike after the install everything was great. It only seems to do this going over 65... bad above 75. Also made sure it was not the road, and it doesn't do it at even internals but every few seconds or so. Pretty annoying, and I want to make sure that its safe.

Any suggestions, thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Check the fork fluid level. I had a smilar issue that drove me nuts until the dealer wrench figured it out in 30 seconds. He added fluid and its been fine since.

Low fork fluid would cause the feeling like something is hitting the front? When I swapped the fork springs it rode great, but it just started acting up. Only really noticeable at highway speeds. I thought that if you have too little fork oil it will make the front end softer, but too much is when it gets bad? Thanks for the help.

Front only, or back as well? I am assuming this is something that the dealer needs to do.... or can I do it myself?

You sure you don't have a tire delaminating? How about your brakes? Any loose or missing bolts? Without actually being there to assess the issue it can be anything. Since you worked on the front forks I'd start there to be sure everything's right and tight.

Not to sound dumb, but what is a delaminating tire? As for the front, I have gone over everything. Everything was tightened to torque per the service manual and I looked back over everything to make sure all is good. I might just have to take it to the dealer and get checked out.

Default Dealer puzzled

Just got off the phone with my local dealer and both their service manager and tech rode the bike and confirmed that something feels like its bumping against the frame when traveling at highway speeds. Problem is that they can't figure out what it is. Said they are going to go over the bike again tomorrow and see if they can find anything. They have check wheel bearings, steering head bearing, torque on wheel, caliper, forks, pinch bolts, etc. And can't find what is causing the problem.

Hopefully tomorrow will bring good news.

Delaminated tires are tires that peel apart in layers.
