Very nice C2. One question. What did you use to hold the Ram mount and the GPS together? I just bought a nuvi and a Ram mount like you have, but haven't figured out how to get the Ram mount and the back of the GPS together. I'm thinking about velcro.
Nice idea. On my Ultra, I used the suction cup on the face of the tach...It's been on for weeks now and has not moved a bit...Just in case, I ran a little cord from the GPS to my middle fairing pouch just in case the suction cup failed...The GPS unit would just dangle where it is if it came loose. It's a Garmin 750.

Get the cradle for your GPS from ram mounts, they make one for just about every device. The nuvi I have now snaps into the mount pretty tight.

I bought this one from here. They have mounts for most any model GPS. The ball bolts right up to the mount.
I have a kuryaken handle bar mounts part number 1421. This is what i bolted my zumo 550 on with very solid no vibration. Looks nice. Electronic face pops on and off with ease. Powered by cig. Lighter. They have other styles
If that doesn't work I use a Ram mount Ball that attaches to my mirror stem.
Kinda the same idea I didn't want some bracket wrapped around my handle bars.
[QUOTE=steveh326;6831379]I have never used a GPS on my bike before last Sunday. I borrowed my wife's for a ride where I needed to get where I was going. I just used the suction cup and stuck it on the chrome lid over my gas cap. I don't know if it would stay there all day or not, but it stuck there fine for this ride.
I do the same thing. I attach a tether cord to make me feel better but I have never had a problem.
