Hey Ram
Yah, it pops on and off just like the factory windscreen. Goes on the same mounting points that the windscreen uses and has a round key lock when you want it to stay put.
Affords great wind protection, especially the hands at the end of the bars during winter. Far better than windscreen.
As for the radio combination, I purchased mine prior to the set up that Willem at Dead Center Cycles has created, which his has a water resistant plug that you just un-connect to take the fairing with radio off. My radio / speakers and wiring are totally different due to I did everything myself.
If I would have waited a few more months I could have got the whole deal from DCC as a complete package, even with paint. (should have, I had several issues getting mine painted that I could have lived with out.) And designing all my own wiring harness for everything that I've included into the dash was a bit of work and I still have to retro the quick disconnect plugs onto everything yet, and to install the water tight enclosures for the XM modules.
My radio is a Sony CDX-F50M with AM/FM/CD/MP3 and XM ready with about 52 watts per channel (4 channel) (thats 17 RMS watts per channel). This is a marine radio, and has a volume **** that takes a bit of getting used to when rolling to control the volume, gloves mess it up all the time. Get a radio that has up / down volume buttons. DCC has one with buttons.
As for speakers, I don't hear well and the front speakers can go REAL loud, my wife hears the backs equally as well. Running (4) Kenwood KFC-1680ie / 4 ohms / at 240 watts (thats 40 RMS watts max). I've installed pods on the back of my TourPac from DragonFly, also bought the speakers from them.
I do get good quality loud sound. With my Hard-Krome 3" True Duals (even without the db's being cut down some by disc's in the baffles) I can listen to the radio going down the hi-way at 85 - 90 MPH and the volume is so loud that the bass notes "hit" in your rib cage. To me thats some sound power.
I have to say that if your not into wiring, and don't want to add, all kinds of gauges (I did 3, oil psi, oil temp, and volts) you will spend less money than I did buying the complete set up direct from Willem at Dead Center Cycles.
I'm totally pleased with his product, and have spoke with him as to how he has built his wiring harness, and have wished I'd gone that route. It would have been cheaper on my end. But I went way over board, not wanting to roast my wiring, and I've added several other items to my electrics' as well that I needed several fuses and relays to keep the factroy wiring from over loading.
"Disclaimer" this is not an add for DCC, its testomony to sound and quality product. I don't get any kick back nor do I wish to in the future. If your interested in DCC please follow the link:

As for your question "carsoni" I hope that I've not bored you!
