Anyone know if there is a difference between the 2009 shocks and other years I got a set from 2005 and they seem to bottom out all the time Thanks

Are the lengths the same?
Maybe the old ones dont hold air and why change them?

I had 1" longer shocks laying around that I took off my 03' RK. I was tired of bottoming out with the shorter shocks on the SG, so I swapped them and I like the ride better. They are the same shocks only 1" longer.

The shocks might look the same but might have different specs. That is why there are different part numbers. You need to follow the shock air requirements for that year model.

Also, if you changed to longer shocks, which I did, you need to change the drive belt tension. The belt needs to be looser with longer shocks. This is explained in the repair manual and this thread: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...rive-belt.html
