sad time...friend of mine was killed around 7pm last night, he had taken his wife out to eat and were on their way home when a car turned left in front of him pulling in to a church parking lot ... he didn't have but about 30 ft to react..crashed in to the fender threw him into the windshield post of the car and split his head...his helmet was knocked off ..he protected his wife with his body she escaped with two broke ribs and fractured collar bone but has to deal with the loss of her husband ....everybody be careful out there ...you just don't ever know whats over the next hill...............Len
Sorry to hear things like this. I lost my best friend and best riding buddy in January. I'll never quit riding, but there are many time that it just does not feel the same not having him and his wife on rides/trips with us anymore. Don't know if I'll ever not miss him on some of our favorite rides.
I'm sure you will have these same feelings if he rode with you often. Please just be careful out there, it's not safe even in a cage anymore. Drivers just seem to have their head in their a$$ these days (cell phones does not help either).
