I just put the polyurethane bushings on my 07 FLXH and the instructions that came with it said to torque them to 144-180 in/lbs or roughly 15 ft/lbs. is that really right, because i can still turn the nut easily at that ammount... thanks in advance....
They are the handlebar bushings, sorry for the confusion... I was thinking of torquing them to the original rubber specs of 30 ft/lbs, but I didn't wanna chance damaging the new bushings.. Thanks for your help guys!!
My instructions are slightly different, they show separate torque specs for XL models and touring models... I guess I'm off to the garage to torque them to 30... Thanks a bunch guys, and happy fathers day!!!
Here is where the wrong inch/pound torque specs are coming from for some of us. I bought these bushings last week and it looks like an older set of directions with some incorrect torque values.
I hope everyone catches this who gets these directions. The 144-180 inches comes out to around 10.5-11 foot/lbs.
Unless I'm mistaken.
