My bike is like a very hot woman, no paun intended. I put up with a lot of crap because she feels and looks so good. She is high mainteance. She is a lot of fun.
Well my 08 EGC had a oil leak once...they fixed it and I am a happy camper. 28K+ and its my daily driver, about 12k per year. No real complaints except not enough time for trips.
POS Harley. I've had to replace the brakes, both front and rear, tires, and battery. Last time I buy one of these POS. And, it only has 24K miles on it. I tell ya, no f**king quality.
Really is that all , LOL... I mean my list is well documented, but still i sit here with my
09 FLHTCU... 18,340 miles 9 months of riding - 2 months at Harley dealer.. but the 4 days in Yosemite and other trips I been on...man you meet the nicest people just cause it's a Harley...
I treat her like my '78 - '80 Maico's carry a tool kit , great tow insurance and phone numbers of any friend with a truck and trailer ;-)
Wax her, take her out and tell her ya love her, cause if you don't she will take all your money............
Man its a good thing you guys aint rich and drive Bugatti Veyrons, I cant imagine how much youd **** and moan when you found out that after spending 1.7 MILLION DOLLARS, son of a bitch, they got a service dept too!
Even thier **** breaks from time to time.
Any of you half wits that claim Harley DESIGNS thier stuff to break need to pull your heads outta yer asses. All theyve done since 84 is improve the design. Go ride a mid 80's softail for a while then jump on a 2010 and tell me Iam full of ****. Then do it with a bagger, you'll see ONE or TWO minor improvements!
They're machines, machines that are built by PEOPLE, simply by that nature some are gonna have issues. You want to be pissed off you should REALLY be pissed at Bill Gates, how many early computers you seen that still function at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I personally believe that motorcycles have become far too complicated. I say throw all this post epa **** back to them and get back to basics.Part of the beauty of motorcycling is that it was so simple.efi,02 sensors, one cylindar shutting down, computers, keep all that **** for your Prius.
Minor stuff I let go, but potentially getting stuffed after the bike shut down on the highway - twice! - according to the OP ain't even close to funny.
I'm having a great time on my 09 Road King Police, but I don't know how I could trust any bike - Honda, Harley, whatever - if it pulled that stunt on me once - never mind twice.
I would think the fun factor would go down as the trust factor goes down.
