A couple of days ago I was doing a search on here for ideas on mounting an Ipod. During the search I came across a cable that plugged into the dock connector on the ipod and then split the other end into an Aux connector and then also leads that would allow you to plug into bike power.
This would allow me to route the cable into the fairing and plug the aux into my rear mounted aux port and then plug the power leads into either the extra head light connectors or the back of the cigarette lighter.
Now I can't remember how I found that cable on here. Anyone familiar with this kind of cable?
Check these guys out. They come highly recommended on here.
Yep just had Iron Cross add the rear aux port. I thought about having them also add the Ipod cable but it is hardwired to the back of the radio. the thoughts of routing the dock connector through some tight places didn't sound like what I wanted to do. So I'm just going to plug into the rear aux port. But would be nice to charge it also.
I bought a cable off ebay EXACTLY like you are talking about because I was doing the same thing for a trip. Cant seem to find one now though. I'll look for a while and post something if I find it. Ebay was the only place I found for a cable though.
